Synopsis

Wilbur the pig was saved as a piglet by Fern Arable (Dakota Fanning) and nursed through his earliest days, but his worries aren't over. Once he reaches a certain age, Wilbur becomes certain that he will end up on the dinner table. He hatches a plan with Charlotte, a spider that lives in his pen, to ensure that this will never happen.

Elle's Character

Elle was originally cast as Fern's Granddaughter. Her scenes would have closed the movie, set many years in the future with Fern as a much older woman. Elle also appears as an extra wearing a panda mask in one fairground scene.

Trivia

. Elle filmed her scenes over two days in mid-May 2005, although she stayed in Australia for the entire 3 month shoot.

. This filmed was originally slated for release in June 2006 - posters featuring that date were even sent to cinemas. The date was eventually pushed back to December 2006.

. Elle's last scene was cut from the final print before release for unknown reasons, it is not available as a deleted scene on the DVD either.
