DAKOTA FANNING's younger sister ELLE is such a huge MARILYN MONROE fan, her grandmother bought her the late screen icon's old jars of face powder and face cream for $600 (GBP330). Although Monroe died in 1962, seven-year-old Elle has developed a fixation with the curvaceous blonde. Eleven-year-old Dakota says of her sister, "She's obsessed with Marilyn Monroe. She loves her. She thinks she's the prettiest woman in the whole world and she likes her clothes and thinks she looks like her. She wanted a Marilyn Monroe room. She wants everything Marilyn Monroe. "There was an auction of all Marilyn Monroe's personal things that nobody had ever seen before and so we went to that. But before you can go preview the items there was a preview on the internet so my sister looked at all the stuff on the internet. "She looked at everything and she wrote down the item number of what she wanted and it was like 10 pages of what she wanted. My mom sat down and was looking at it and realised she had marked everything except the picture of JOE DiMAGGIO by himself." The Fanning sisters' grandmother sat through the auction for hours to bid on the beauty items now in their ownership. Dakota adds, "The cream doesn't open because it's all crusted shut. It was $600 for her face creams and face powders. But then the beauty supply set that we wanted went for $7,000."
